Biography

Dr. Ćwiękała-Lewis is internationally recognized for her work in nursing and healthcare. Dr. Ćwiękała-Lewis completed her Ph.D. in Nursing with a minor in Education Technology at the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona. Education Technology is the considered implementation of appropriate tools, techniques, or processes that facilitate the application of senses, memory, and cognition to enhance teaching practices and improve learning outcomes.

 

Dr. Ćwiękała-Lewis has held a variety of staff, management, administrative, and education positions during her nursing carrier. She is also a passionate humanitarian with the goal of bringing care and comfort to people in need, whether it is volunteering in the American Red Cross as a Regional Nurse Leader or organizing fundraisers to support the saving of human lives or the alleviation of suffering.

Her areas of expertise include education technology innovation, digital healthcare, management, leadership for for-profit and nonprofit organizations, Parkinson's disease symptom management with complementary and alternative medicine as an intervention as well as disaster preparedness.

 

Dr. ĆwiÄ™kaÅ‚a-Lewis currently serves nursing professor at York College of Pennsylvania. In the past, she also served as online faculty in the RN-MS program at the University of Arizona. She holds a BSN degree in nursing from Cedar Crest College, an MSN in Nursing Leadership in Health Systems Management from Drexel University, and a Ph.D. in nursing with a minor in Education Technology from the University of Arizona. Dr. ĆwiÄ™kaÅ‚a-Lewis is a board-certified Advanced Public Health Nurse (APHN) and Edmond J. Safra Visiting Nurse Scholar at the Parkinson’s Disease Foundation.
